The Tangled Ways I See You
The Tangled Ways I See You is an interactive installation/sculpture with projected live video.
When someone approaches the piece, their motion is detected and their image is recorded in 3-second clips. When nothing is moving around the sculpture, then the past video clips are played at random.
Stimulated by movement, text scrolls across the top of the video. The text is a set of time-determined compliments and requests, simulating the installation addressing the viewer.
Cables have such undulating organic forms while being very coldly technological. E-waste and obsolescence are anthropomorphized as coquettish and lonely.
E-waste cables laced with cameras and sensors respond to viewers with video and text.
