Art in the age of digital interaction

Anomaly

Anomaly is a sculpture and sound installation: a steel bicycle tree which controls digital audio.

Supporting artists: Kurt Thorn and Jason Araujo.

Anomaly in the Black Rock Desert

Made of scrap metal and bikes.

When the wheels are turned they act as midi knobs, altering sound or even projected video. In collaboration with sound artists it is the instrument of a slowly shifting digital soundscape. Most recently Anomaly controlled digital birdsong by Yosh!.
